Happy Brexit Day - #BrexitDay
Today at 11PM GMT and Midnight CET, Britain will formally leave the EU.
There will be some who celebrate and some who mourn this event.
Either way the following points should be borne in mind:
1 What is done is done, wallowing in self pity or triumphalism will achieve nothing.
2 We leave on good terms with our friends on the Continent and intend to remain friends.
3 This is a new chapter in the history of the UK, let us not squander it but use it as an opportunity to move forward in a direction that will benefit everyone in the UK.

The Failure of The EU - Verhofstadt Spectacularly Misses The Point!
#Brexit is a failure of the Union. There is a lesson to learn from it: to deeply reform the Union. Only then we can defend our interests and defend our values. pic.twitter.com/asW7C5YK7A— Guy Verhofstadt (@guyverhofstadt) January 29, 2020
