In his speech yesterday President Macron noted that his proposed new political organisation in Europe, which would include Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, "would not be closed to those who have left the EU". Interesting that he couldn't bring himself to mention the UK by name.

Scholz has removed all heavy weapons from the list of weapons (tanks, IFVs & artillery).

Steel Tariffs To Go

It seems that the USA will ditch 25 percent tariffs on British steel today.

Additionally, Trade Secretary Anne-Marie Trevalyan has told the media that the Biden administration’s position wrt a trade deal has changed, and that there are now hopes for a full trade deal before the next election.

Quite why Biden has changed his mind is unclear. Time will tell as to whether a deal is actually done.
